Are they interchangeable? Aftermarket lights don't list the V40 as compatible with S40 headlights. Is this a misnomer? Thanks.

Can I change my 98 year v 40 headlights for the double units from a w reg v 40 or do the wiring multi plugs need adjusting, to make them work correctly. The glass is the same size, as far as I can tell??? Any advice appreciated,
