850 wagon - question on wiper fluid control

Post by qorc »

all of the sudden, the wiper fluid is not coming out of the top nozels in the hood. it's full of fluid. the motor runs, but I noticed that when I pulled it up that fluid was dripping near the areas where the small hoses attach to the nozels. Could both nozels be clogged? if so, any suggestions?

I peeled away the thing that lines the inside of the hood. The wiper fluid is firing out of a red tipped hole right in the center of the hose that feeds the two hoses that go to the nozels, as if it's not going to the two hoses that lead to the nozels in the hood. This red tipped thing has a hole in the top. I am at a loss. Anyone??

The splitter connecter has gone bad (I don't remember the correct part name). The Y connector that routs the washer fluid is a weak link in the system and they tend to fail easily. Remove the connector and take it to the dealer parts dept for replacement - they are a "dealer only" item.
