Yep done about 14 units now.

I only buy from the dealer or Xemodex when the board is faulty and the Sacer rebuild doesn't work.

Have a read of this post. Page 2 shows the procedure a`bit more clearly. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 12&t=38504

Matching voltages is crucial to a successful install. Also use a dremmel tool to grind about 1/8 inch off each of the pins you want to separate; soldering iron has no effect as they are spot welded together.

Found time to get back to the car this weekend. Started and ran awful for 1 second and quit, will not re-start. It did set some codes: P 1020 Throttle body communication.
P 1026 Throttle body internal fault.
P 1031 Does anyone know what this one is for?

Looks just like typical throttle body codes. The internal fault code has me worried. This is usually a ECM-913F when translated to Volvo's codes. I take back what I said about Volvo's units all having non contacting sensors. Just received another one from FCP and it has original Magnetti Marelli sensors on both sides:o

I think Volvo had to use the non contacting choice only on core returns where the shaft has been cut for Sacer sensors and the home made refurb didn't work....so they had to find a solution or toss the core.
