I'm also looking for a decent Volvo mechanic in the Madison area, the dealer here in town is nothing but a rip off. After calling around to different Volvo dealers I found out that they were almost twice as expensive as other dealers. 150 for getting a key fob programmed? Then being told it would only cost 120 since it doesn't need extra programming, when the dealer down by Chicago qouted me at 62.50. And as I'm waiting the mechanic kept trying to get me to sell him my car. There has to be a better place in the area for me to take my car, if anybody has any ideas please drop a line.

The only one comes to mind is Terry's Auto in downtown by Logan's bar. They're great foreign vehicle specialists.

Yes for a while. Terry's Auto isn't super good but descent pricewise and performancewise. Others are simply joke.

Bob at Phoenix Foreign Car Service is an old school Volvo fan. He gave me a lot of his time and consideration as I was deciding whether to buy an S60 or S80. I haven't had him work on the car yet but plan on doing so. He'd be worth calling. I agree with the comment about dealer pricing in Madison. Latest quote for service I got from them was $500 per wheel bearing. Ouch.
