I am turning to you Volvo Experts for some help. I am a experienced Mechanic but am new to working on Volvos.
I have a 2000 S80 T6 that i am working on for a friend. He bought the car knowing it had problems but i don't think he realized how bad it is.
Right now it will start and idle smooth and it is "Driveable". It does not shift correctly. The Tracs Disconnected light is on and the engine light.
The "P" codes with the Volvo code that it has are:
P0118/ECM-2000- I have replaced the coolant temp sensor with a new one. Code still active and coolant temp gauge does not read.
P0113/ECM-1200- I have not changed the IAT sensor (I am not sure where it is located)
P0154/ECM-290A-I have not changed the O2 Sensor. (is there and easy way to change the Upstream sensor with out removing the exhaust?)
P0103/ECM-1300-I have put a brand new MASS Air Flow on the car.
P0236/ECM-170F- I have no idea what this is???
P0238/ECM-1600-I think this is the TCV and have not changed it
P0452/ECM-4020-Fuel tank pressure sensor and i have not done anything for this.
While driving the car at random times the engine RPM will fluctuate randomly and after the care gets warm the low/no oil pressure light comes on.
What i have done so far is replace all spark Plugs and two new coils, New Coolant temp Sensor, Mass Air Flow, Oil and filter, Transmission Fluid and filter.
The guy he bought the car from has had the timing belt replaced as well as the cam sensor. I checked and the timing marks and they seem to be spot on.
I have a new Upstream O2 sensor and while looking the car over i noticed that i need to replace a down stream sensor also. All of the wires are burnt in half. I did also find three wires that were exposed in a harness that runs behind the drivers side wheel by where the O2 sensors hook up at. I have repaired them.
If you have any ideas of what I should do next that would be great. Hopefully its not a bad ECM

I am moving this post to the S80 forum where you can get advice specific to your car. I know that most of the T6 models had some issues but I will let the S80 guys help you sort it out.

You are in for a real treat with this car let me tell you.
My plan of attack would be...
Check thoroughly for vacuum leaks, including the small rubber pipes that go to the wastegates on each of the turbos. All PCV system pipes.
Disconnect the ABS controller.
Ensure your battery voltage is SOLID.
Clear all codes.
Continue diagnosis from this point.
Sometimes the ABS controllers fail and dump garbage data onto the CANBUS network, creating havoc in the process.
As far as the timing is concerned, it can still be out of time if the marks line up on the sprockets. The VVT hub also has to be set correctly for it to be timed right. If the marks are lined up, but VVT is not, you wont do damage but you will throw codes for it.

I'll repeat boosted's suggestion of the two little vacuum tubes that go directly to the wastegates of the car. My mechanic missed these and said my iPd TCV was the culprit of the ECM1600 code (overboost if I recall). I already changed the 3 main tubes but was still getting codes and boosted told me about the itty bitty tubes and one was severed completely. They're a bitch to repair but not impossible.

Lee, Sorry about posting in the wrong section and thanks for moving to the correct section.
Boosted and Jim, Thanks for posting. I just removed the ABS module and have removed the top and the pins all look to be in good shape and I can not see any cracks in the solder. I am going to go buy a Soldering gun and try re-soldering them just in case i can not see the cracks with the naked eye.
I have looked the engine bay over and I think all the vacuum lines are good but just to make sure where do the lines for the Waste Gates run? I know where the TCV is by the air cleaner and the lines that run from it are in good shape unless someone before me routed lines to the incorrect places.
Thanks again for all your help! I truly appreciate it!

One of the three lines from the TCV goes to a hardline near the rear of the engine (from what I recall). That hard line splits the each turbo. One line is close, driver's side under the strut bar thingy or so and the other is on the passenger side that I accessed from under the vehicle. The hard line terminates at each and then a little 2-4 inch piece of hose goes to the wastegate. Pretty much follow the hardline and you'll find each of the two turbos. I spent forever fixing this problem but I wasn't as comfortable taking things apart under the hood so I tried to work between things. I don't know the best way to change the driver's side turbo's line but I know some folks use long angles needlenose pliers. Mine were baked onto the hard lines so they took a while to get off.

Ok. Thanks Jim,
I will try and get out there and check these lines before the snow starts getting bad here. I wish i had a bigger garage.

Ok. I removed the ABS module and tried the "fix" that was posted. I re-installed it and the problems continue. I also checked the hoses going to the Waste Gates and they look good as well.
While doing the ABS module I disconnected the battery for the duration of the "fix' and then hooked it back up. Before even attempting to start the car I checked to see if there were any codes and there were.
P0238 was Active
P0118 and P0113 were pending
After starting the car and letting it idle for awhile and then reving it up, I pulled the codes again
These are the Active Codes in Order from my scan tool:
P0238
P0118
P0452
P0236
P0103
and Pending are
P0154
P0113
Is it possible that the ECM is bad? Also the car will start and Idle fine but after I "rev" the engine the RPMS drop down and fluctuate and sometime the car will die. I have cleaned the ETC already. It is the Yellow label so I assume it is the replacement.
