Radiator for C70, S70, V70, 850

Post by unfortunately »

I had to swap a radiator a little while ago and had the unfortunate luck of ordering the wrong one the first time around. So now I have a brand new radiator sitting around that I can't do anything with.

Aluminum Core Size (approx): 23 1/4 x 15 5/16 x 1-5/8"

Comes with a manufacturer's lifetime warranty. Manufacturer is Lynol Cooling Systems and the part number is LR2099.

It's built to fit any of the following models with automatic transmissions:

1998 VOLVO C70 2.3 L5 / 2.4 L5 - Turbo
1999-2000 VOLVO S70 2.3 L5 / 2.4 L5 - Turbo
1999-2004 VOLVO V70 2.3 L5 - Turbo
1999-2003 VOLVO V70 2.4 L5 - Turbo
1994-1997 VOLVO 850 2.3 L5 / 2.4 L5 - Turbo

Image

It would have physically fit in my car but wasn't the same as the one I was pulling. Look at the picture to be SURE that it's the one you need.

Looking for $90. Need to get rid of it and as far as I've seen that's cheaper than anywhere else.

I know this was not intentional but this ad is misleading. It can't possibly suit all these models because there are distinct differences between radiators of different model years.

The radiator pictured seems to be for a 850 or V70/S70 turbo from '93 to '98 as it has extra engine oil cooling ports on the opposite side to the transmission cooler ports. This could also be used for a non turbo 850 S70/V70 by simply not using the engine oil cooling ports.

The '99 to '00 Volvo radiators look similar but have different transmission cooling ports and no engine oil cooling ports as they have a sump mounted oil cooler.

The '01 and on radiators are totally different to what is pictured.
For further information go to FCPs website to view the diagrams for different models.

Bump.

It's been brought to my attention a few times that the listed models might not be accurate. I'm just taking them from the original eBay listing. If someone could more accurately tell me which years/models it will fit I'd appreciate it. I can edit the listing to reflect what it will actually work in.

Need it gone!

I've clarified it a bit for you

The 1999 & 2000 radiators have one set of cooling ports only as engine oil is cooled by a sump mounted oil cooler. Also they have an upright nipple on the right (passenger side in USA) for the expansion tank return hose.

The LR2099 IS NOT FOR A '99 or '00 model.

Also the clamping design for the trans cooler hose was upgraded to greeen plastic internal clips instead of external steel bands on earlier models.
