Good Afternoon,
Getting ready to change out the timing belt and components on my 2004 C70. Can someone please tell me what the torque specs are for the components.
1. Water Pump
2. TB Tensioner
3. TB Idler Roller
4. Crank Pulley...
Thanks

Getting clearance for a torque wrench is iffy on much of the timing system but here you go:
Water Pump Bolts: 15 ft/lb
Tensioner: 18 ft/lb
Tensioner Roller: 22 ft/lb
Idler Roller: 18 ft/lb
If you insist on removing the Harmonic Balancer the center nut torques back to 133 ft/lb.

Hi Lee,
What is difference between tensioner and tensioner roller... The tensioner only has a single bolt in the center to hold it on... I only have the temperture controled tensioner and the idler roller.
BTW... Any issues with removing the Crank Pulley.. Have impact gun... was going to remove and replace with that... snug it up good... Would make it easier to see the timing mark on the crank
Thanks

My bad, I didn't fully read the post and your sig.
I am moving this post to the proper forum. You will be running into CVVT issues when you change the belt so be sure you know the pre-load setting procedure before you start.

Hi Lee,
What is the pre-load procedure? Is that when you turn the engine clockwise and go past the timing marks 90 degrees then return counter clockwise to the timing marks.
My plan is to set the crank on the mark then lock down the two cam gears before removing the old belt.
Thanks
