Just wanted to circle back and say I bought the Denso sensor from amazon.com ($149) for the 2000 V70 NA and installed last night. I drove it about 15-20 miles after clearing the P0135 code and it did not return. It was previously re-setting after just driving a mile or two. Thanks to everyone for their responses and input.

After hearing from you all and reading up some, it didn't seem wise to ignore this problem.
