Australian 1999 V40 OBD2?

Anyone have any feedback if OBD2 works on australian delivered V40's? Just wondering if its worth looking into the scangauge or similar option.

after a bit of googling, I think I may have found an answer. Seems the turbo engine phase 1 cars should have the right ECU to allow OBD2.......
