So I was merging onto the freeway today and as usual gave my car some throttle to get up to speed.(Nowhere near spirited acceleration) And I heard a loud pop, car seems fine but had a lack of boost. I arrived at where I needed to go and found out that my front inter-cooler pipe had blown off. So guessing I didn't tighten the clamp down enough last time I worked on my car (PCV replacement) I tightened it back on and this time made sure it was good. But for some reason on the drive home the car felt like it was making very very little boost and took too much throttle to do much of anything. I'm guessing that its the CBV and was hoping that someone on the site might have had the same problem so that I don't have to take this car to the mechanic to get it diagnosed and he charges an arm and a leg just to put a new CBV in.(I was planning to replace it and asked for an estimate)
To add to it when I got home the engine rpms dropped to below 800 idle and then jumped back up.

It's just re-learning since the IC hoses bursting off confused the crap out of the computer's trim limits.
Take off the negative battery cable, tap the brakes, turn the key to position I, and reconnect the battery cable. Wait for the SRS light to go out.
This will reset the adaptives.
BTW, these HPT Volvos blow those hoses off ALL the time.
