Afternoon Everyone,
On our 00' V70 X/C SE the door trim is pulling away from the door panel and is rather loose. It's been this way since I purchased it back in December of 2012, and has been on my "to-do" list but I wanted to get the more important maintenance out done first. I have a little extra time today so today is the day.
Im sure that there are posts here this issue, but has anybody used or can recommend an adhesive that you can use to bond the door panel trim back to the actual door panel that works nicely and doesn't leave too much of a mess?
Thanks Much!
-Joe

The major issues is the horrible green adhesive that volvo decided to use to be environmentally friendly. I believe that it is supposed to be biodegradable and it appears to degrade while still in the car. You don't need anything special to hold the door card pieces together, something like spray on or brush on contact adhesive should be fine. I have used brush on contact adhesive and 5 minute epoxy to re-attached the black mounting points on the door card to good effect.
Thanks fasteddyT5,
Appreciate the reply. Sounds like any brush on adhesive will work just fine then.

Clear silicone (can be bought at any automotive store) works great!
I've done many of these and they're solid as a rock when done

Thanks JRL,
Clear silicone sounds like the best bet. Like you said, when it cures its solid as a rock and because it's clear there is less chance of it showing.
