XC 90 Radio swap

Good day all

I have a XC 90 where the radio no longer switches on and have purchased another radio. Once plugged in the radio works but once I select the CD option the radio switches off.

Couple of questions
The car who received the radio is a D5 and the donor radio is from a T6. Also, the old radio is a standard radio and the donor radio is a High Performance Radio.

Could on of the above reasons be that the donor radio will not function correctly or are these radios not interchangeable?
