Hello !! My daughter has a 2005 S40 T5. The front passenger door will not open from the outside or inside handle. When I press the unlock/lock button on the remote or door, I can hear the actuator.
But the door will not open. I managed to get the inside door panel partially off from the rear
and can see and reach all the way down to where the inside cable goes into the door. I tried to get access by removing the bolts I could reach on the inner metal cover but it will only move a half inch or so and I can not get into it. I have to get the door open to remove the panel completely to see what is wrong, but can't figure out how to do it !! Any suggestions would be great !!!

I've got the same issue on the rear passenger door. Except the child lock was on as well so absolutely no way to open from the inside. By taking the seat out I was able to remove the door panel from the inside with the door closed but haven't gotten any further. Any luck so far?
