Has any one replaced vacuum Lines from vacuum hoses from Stalin Motor, I got that recommended contact for vacuum hoses from this forum but I can't find that post again.
I just received the hoses from Stalin and they are thick hoses one diameter all the way thru, not like the original very thin spagetti like vacuum lines that the ends fits into elbows of larger diameter or straight connectors. It seems like the replacement hoses will have a larger diameter for the vacuum flow, or does it? Will this make a difference. Spoke with Stalin staff, they informed me that many volvo owner have used these hoses and are proven.
I hope I was able to describe the above. I will take photos when I am changing them out tomorrow.

I did the stylin' hoses all through my engine bay. If I'm understanding you correctly, you only got 1 size? I got a group of 4 different size hoses with my "kit." they should fit snuggly over each nipple or fitting and then with the zip ties, they won't leak a bit. I used a pair of hemostats to pull them as tight as I could and then a small pair of sissors to cut the excess off from the zip tie. IM me or email me if you have any questions about this. They've worked out great and I even have some left over.

Thanks for your reply, I feel better that it worked out for you. I did get the Kit that had 4 different sizes, I was concerned about the smallest one if they would work out, I feel more comfortable after hearing from you.
I just finished replacing the smallest diameter vacuum lines and cleared the "Check Engine Lite". Now I'll wait and see if the P0172 code appears again or not.

Hey, take your time with this unless you're just wanting to do it gang busters. I took like 3 weekends to do all of mine. I just did a little at a time. I waited until the very end (same time as an oil change) to get the hose connecting to the lower side of the turbo which was like having to be contorted to do, but still it worked. Take one old hose off and replace it, then tackle the next one- that way you don't get confused as to what goes where. Good luck!

I posted a reply to this thread and I don't see it, I did give it a new subject title of P0300, P0303, P0304.
Continuing from my last post - Like I said I replaced some of the vacuum lines and found one that had come off its connector, replaced it and reset the Check Engine lite and drove it for a few days and the Check Engine did not come back on, I figured I licked the problem. Then I took the car out for a long drive (150 miles) before I wrote back to this post. Lo and behold, in the midst of the drive "Check engine" came back on -- Damn -- I checked the codes P0300, P0303, P0304. Previously, I always had a P0172 along with one or a combination of P0300, P0303, P0304.
I reset the new codes of P0300, P0303, P0304 and drove it for a few miles (5 miles or less) and the "Check Engine" was back on this time I had a P0304, P0300.
It is my conclusion that I had two separate problems, the P0172 was associated with the vacuum line being off and I fixed that by correcting the vacuum line.
The SECOND set of problem I had was misfiring caused by some other condition giving me the P0300, P0303 ETC.. I have replaced the ignition wires with a set of Bosch wires bought from Lordco our largest local auto supplier outside of the dealers, I also replaced the spark plugs (Bosch), cap and rotor bought from the Volvo dealer, and about six months or more I replaced the fuel pump (Bosch) and both O2 sensor (Bosch) purchased from Autohaus.
Any suggestion to fix the P0300, P0303, P0304 problem?

Which Bosch plugs were put in? If the plugs aren't the problem, the wires likely are. Bosch ignition wires are horrible for these cars. OEM Bougicord are 1000x better

I got onto another thread with Bigmuse as he had identical problem as mine and wrote the following:
I doubt if it my Spark plugs or wires, as the codes are on multiple cylinders and I find it hard to believe that multiple plugs from Volvo including the wires will be faulty and that is two sets of them. I replaced my fuel pump and fuel filter about nine months ago when my fuel pump went out on me.

- Throttle Body gasket
- EGR valve gasket
- Air Filter
- Mann Oil Filter
- I wished I included the fuel filter - forgot.
So you see Made in Japan - some one do listen to your advice and pays attention and Thanks for your valuable input. I hope I can get all of the above completed this weekend and I shall report back.
Thank you Bigmuse, by the way I did run a fuel injectors cleaner thru the injectors with the OTC fuel injector cleaner using the OTC Appratus, this is a great little device to have to periodically cleaning the injectors, you need compress air though.

- Replaced almost all vacuum lines (Stalin set)
Error Codes P0172, P0300, P0303, P0304, P0305 are all gone. I had the battery disconnected while doing all this work, so when I finished the car ran a little rough and I expected this as the car goes thru a re-learning process, I have driven the car for almost a week and NO Error Code and the car is running fairly smooth. It feels great to have your Volvo running as it should without any error codes.
Next, I plan to do the air condition with Duracool, I read great stuff on this product from this site and I spoke at great lenght with the people from Duracool who were extremely helpful - looks like an easy task and great savings.
I have a wiring problem with my rear center brake light, but I will start a new thread for that.

Read your post on the vacuum line going to the turbo. As you are aware I, too, just purchased and received the Stylinmotors silicone vacuum line package (standard). In looking through the vacuum line diagram under the hood and on the 850 volvo diagrams I downloaded from your post, I do not see any going to the turbo. Have I missed something?
I plan on starting on working on the car this week (Manifold off, TB, oil trap/recirculation system) So it is a good time to doo the vacuum lines. I alo saw the diagram which you photographed of the vacuum lines. So I should be okay, however, Turbo? Also did you do the line from the fuel tank to the roll-over valve onward to the canister? thank you.
By the way, GT888's tune-up sounds great. hope he ordered a K&N airfilter. What an unbeleivable difference between that and a Mann!
