Hello,
My girlfirends has a Black Volvo 240 DL. It is a nice car but recently she was in a small fender bender.
There was no damage to the other car but her back bumper got pushed in on the left side.
How can I get the bumper even again?
Is there any way i can pull it out myself?
Or does a mechanic have to do it? It seems like it should be simple, right?
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks,
Volvo 240 DL bumper help

Depends on how it is mounted. Some are on rigid brackets and some may be mounted on coil springs, hydraulic or gas filled struts.
The method of removal is the same for all types - get underneath and release the mounting nuts or bolts.
If you have rigid brackets straighten the bent one and put the bumper back on.
The impact absorbing mounts may have to be replaced as they were designed to fail if the impact speed was too great.
Bill.
