8 or 9 years back I stored Mr. Gordon's P1800 for a few weeks.

I got to look over the car closely with him and talk to him about it.

The car had 2 1/2 million or so on it at that time.

It had engine overhauled a couple of times with cylinder head work a few more times.
A complete rear end overhaul and trans overhaul and maybe some other repairs on those units.
A lot of other things replaced or repaired too but nothing excessive except for generators.
He had replaced dozens of generators and carried a spare with him in trunk.

Generators on everything loved to fly apart back in "the good old days".

I don't recall him mentioning any check engine lights, spring seats, sway bar links or software upgrades.........

Wonder if they incessantly leak oil as much as the white-blocks do.

Still...incredible a car can just keep going that long.

B18/B20s did leak oil. I'm sure that one has had the front cover milled or replaced to accept a rubber seal in place of the original packing. Same for the rear. That one is old enough to not have big crankcase vent problems since it would have draft tube.

For a gasoline car that is quite a respectable mileage, about 10 years ago I've been riding in a Mercedes W126 Diesel taxi cab with over 2mio km in Belgrade, Serbia.
For trucks it's pretty normal to get into the millions, Beaver in Winnipeg has a VN with D12 engine with only 1 injector changed as far as engine hardware is concerned, 3.4mio km
