Had to lube the blower motor on my Volvo 850 again. The last lube job lasted 2 years so maybe that will be the cycle. This video may also work for the S/V70's as well (at least get you close).

Great. One extra tip: you can lube the other side of the bearings too, inside the motor assembly; but they are covered by rubber (silicone?) dust shields---pry those up and get lube underneath them. I did that and the fix lasted 43K miles. Time to do it again...
1996 850 Turbo Wagon
Nice, really helpful. On the 99 XC70, the procedure is basically the same. Two simplifications:
I didn't have to remove the hinges on the glovebox; 2: there are no 13mm bolts holding in the knee bolster.
I removed the glovebox - it's an insert, which reveals the top of the blower. After removing the glovebox, on the lower edge of the opening where the glovebox inserts, there are two T20 screws holding in the knee bolster / lower storage compartment. Remove those screws and that lower piece comes free. Then you have full access to the blower, as pictured in your video.

This is good. Wish I had seen about how to do this before I bought another one. I bought an aftermarket (TYC brand) from Amazon for $65 or so. First one was horrible, shook the car. Second replacement one was much better. Apparently you can also order a new Bosch motor as well, I'd probably recommend that over lubing it up if you've done the job a time or two, mostly because I really don't like smelling anything coming out my vents and smelling a lubricant for several months would drive me nuts.
