volvo s80 computer problems
volvo s80 computer problems
I have a 2000 volvo s80 that is not working. It won't even start. I've taken it for service multiple times and each time they say it's the computer. They replace it but then the same thing happens. I start driving and the car loses power and dies. Every light comes on, I take it back for service, and they tell me it's another computer problem, which means more money. Then it dies again. Now it won't even start. I bought it newand did all the service that was required. Can anyone help? I'm taking it to a new dealer for diagnostics, but they want $120 per hour to figure out the problems. At that rate I could pay hundreds of dollars and still have to pay more to fix it. HELP!

They arent replacing the computer for problems, they are fixing problems reported by the car computer, to be clear. You can buy a cheap (<40 USD) OBD scanner of ebay and read the same codes and google them for explanations, or post them back here to help diagnose your car and get some help.
