No, that's fine. I've done a few of the EGR connected PCV jobs (having these T-5R's) so I knew his concerns right away.

Blue Arrow: After properly removing/loosening all the required bolts necessary to remove the intake manifold will I be able to remove the manifold after loosening the 22mm nut that attaches the pipe to the EGR? To be more clear with my question, is the 22mm nut that attaches to the pipe the only thing EGR related that will keep me from removing the intake manifold?

Red Arrows: Is it recommended that I clean and re-mount the EGR Valve with the intake manifold off or should I re-mount the Valve with the intake manifold back on the block?

Any advice/clarity giving on the above questions will truly be appreciated!
Thanks to All

I pulled the EGR with the manifold and installed it to the manifold before attaching the manifold to the motor.

On mine, that hold between the 2 read mounting holes were 80S% blocked. The hole was about a large as the vacuum line tip in your hand.

All i had was a metal pipe going to the manifold with a sliding big nut i used a adjustable to get it of then the intake came off. Had one of those little brushes in the tin that fit in the hole perfect to get it spotless. And that stupid uro vent hose gave me so many problems i tapped a metal fitting into the vent so i can attach the tube to something better Had to use pipe dope to get it to not leak!. UGGhhh uro lol.

To All,

I'm going to do this Pcv Job Tomorrow. All the insight with what to do with the Egr valve has helped me out a lot and has giving me the confidence to do this!

Quick question, can I use break cleaner to clean the oil ports better as long as I change the oil and filter afterwards or should I not use the break cleaner no matter what?

Don't use brake cleaner. Use carburetor cleaner or Seafoam and a brush/thin metal wire to scrape them.

To All,

I did the PCV job!!!!
CAM00279.jpg
To be honest, it took me about five and half hours to do the whole job! I was really trying to pay attention to everything and remember where everything went!

My setup was different than the fcp video in certain aspects but virtually the same. For instance, where the hose goes to the side of the intake manifold. Mine went to the bottom of the fuel rail!

I'm really upset at who ever worked on this car previously because they worked on it like it wasn't there's or something! 1 out of 2 of the 12mm bolts were missing from the bottom of the intake manifold and a bolt was missing that attaches the oil box to the block. Then to top it off 3 out of the 4 bolts are missing that keeps my fan in place! I took the fan out of the way to give me better access to the bottom bolts to the manifold.

Also, I don't know if I'm crazy or not but I swear I seen traces of oil in the hose that goes over my throttle! Here's a picture of the hose I'm talking about just in case I didn't describe it right

To All that can give me some output on this with the oil possibly going to the throttle body thank you! The whole reason I did this job was to hopefully cease the white smoke that comes out of the tail pipe! I know this is an oil related issue.
