timing belt 2000 v70

Post by victorneyra »

Does anyone have any information on replacing the timing belt of a 2000 v/s70 turbo? I seen tons of info for the 850 but not for the v70. My understanding is that this vehicle is eqiuiped with variable timing, and that makes at totally different job than the 850

thanks!!

If you go to the v70 xc awd forum, I had posted the same question (timing belt replacement"(posted by bobsnow100) and MIJ posted an excellent diagram that shows how to do this adjustment. It is by temperature.I changed mine on my 2001 and it only took about an hour.
So you know, you DON"T need to remove the crankshaft pulley to do the belt change. You can snake the new belt around it with some patience after removing the serpentine belt and bracket covering the pulley
