1993 960 rough idle and 45mph hesitation

I have a 1993 960 Sedan that has recently developed a little bit of a rough idle. It also has a slight hesitation/cut out at around 45 mph. At all other times it runs and accelerates fine. Any suggestions??

The rough idle, how are the spark plugs? Any vacuum leaks?

As for the 45 mph hiccup, it could be the torque convertor lock up, that is the speed when engages.
How does the trans fluid look? Nice and red, no acrid odor?
