93 940 non turbo wagon 64k on new motor, $2000 NJ

Post by Lou Rosenbaum »

For all you Volvo RWD nuts this is for you. I am 2nd owner got car with 160K in 2003.This car has never let me down.
Mechanically the following systems have been replaced and documented: this year Struts/shocks ,3years ago Steering Rack last year tie rods in and out Handles like it's on rails. Routine pads/rotors every 50k, new front calipers /rotors/pads front and rear this year
The "new" to me motor 60K runs like a clock the first one did not die, I just got a great deal on the replacement so I did it. been in for 3k miles.( B230's really are bullet proof ) New motor mounts, new trany mount : last year 2nd exhaust front to back about10k left on 205/55/16 Protenzas, custom wheels/4 winter rims with new Blizzacs new correct 93 hub caps for the winter .Sound barrier on the floor. quite like a new car... windows, all lights, heated power seats, power locks ,gauges all work.Radiator, washer motors, tailgate pistons, list goes on and on! We take this car to the country every weekend 300 miles for the last 7 years.
Body and paint: There is a rust and bubbling paint on the hood. Driver side rear door has rust though on bottom. one dent in tail gate. paint still shines, scratches on roof.
A vacuum problem currently has the AC blowing colds air through the floor vents. Gas gauge gets crazy but settles down. rear middle seat belt gone ...lots of good parts come with. drives and sounds like a new car ready for another ten years . Call with any questions more pictures available. will consider delivery in northeast for gas money and ticket home, retired got nothing else to due. time to let somebody else love this old girl. Based on the low mileage on the motor and all the new stuff I "need " $2000.
I am convinced this is a million mile car.I would be willing to buy it back within 6 months if the trans goes for $1000.
Is the post in the wrong spot ?
PS: 2 yellow labs 2 grown daughters and a 1967 MK3 Austin Healey 3000
