Clonking noise in the rear.

So i take my car to the garage and apparently this clonking noise is coming from the rear BUSHINGS . I've never heard of these but he did show me a pic of where they are located. Does anyone know where i can purchase these because his retail $$ was 240.00$ for each.
The car is a little loose in the rear because of this and clonks when hitting bumps.

Is it dangerous to ride the card like this ??

One other question. My AC compressor bearing is making a huge grinding noise. Is there anyway of putting an adaptor plate and pully or do i HAVE to set in another compressor to repair this ??

forgot to mention, this is a 94 850glt (canada)

I've gone out and playing with the rear wheel and it is loose, could it be the upper strut bolt being loose or could it really be the rear bushings?

The bump stops can fall into the spring too. Worth a check. The sway bar can also break. Get under the back of your car and see if you can tell what is going on.

If the compressor is making noise like that, you really should replace it. Others have tried to go without one (shorter belt routed differently) but the defrost uses the A/C in the winter time too and really, you need it.

How exactly do you bypass the compressor. can i just measure and use a shorter starp without it going on the compressor or does the antifreeze HAVE to go thru the compressor. I was going to measure the alternator and powersteering pump distance and try to find a strap to use and eliminate the ac compressor.
