2008 C70 Air recirc function not operating

Post by svetsvet »

Hello all!
My 2008 C70 was in garage for 2 months, as I was away.
Upon return/initial drive, I noticed that when I choose to either close or open the air circulation manually, nothing changes. I am pretty sure the dampner remains closed at all times. I tested it by switching it between closed/opened and listening for the typical change in sound, air stream flow and even air smell. Unfortunately, no luck. In the past, I could hear (very slightly) the motorized dampner operating when using this function. Now, I do not hear anything.
Please help me in figuring out what would the problem be and how can I solve it. I searched these amazing forums but could not find details particularly on C70.
Thank you so much!
Svet

Svieks, Svet

Turn your ignition on and look at the two LEDs your AC control panel "ECC"

I think the 2008 is similar to the older cars and will flash if there is an error.

Thank you Abscate!
In the meantime, do you know how can I access the ECC Dampner on this car to check whether it is stuck?

No lights blinking. Nothing unusual at all....
Any other advice? I am thinking the dampner must be stuck. I just don't know how to get to it...
Thanks everyone!!!
