Matty Moo will probably have it in the mail by Monday morning. You will need a 1/4 ratchet and soft hands, the 4 screws will be rusty/crusty and slow to come off (try not to let them fall into the engine bay. The hard part is uncoupling the wiring to the ABS module.
Once the new ABS module is ready to test, clear the codes with your new code reader. The only code that should come back in a few days is the P0442 - leak in EVAP system. The P0442 will not make your car run worse, it just means that the sealed gasoline vapor system has sprung a leak. If you look up P0442 in a search, there is ample info on how to diagnose. Probably a split vacuum hose close to the fuel filter which is easy to replace (left rear wheel).

Just a few hours earlier and I could have had it out today. I can usually ship as late as 4pm on Saturday. I keep everything prepackaged and I'm only three blocks from the post office. Print a label and it's gone. But.... You'll have it before you know it.1Wagon wrote:Great, will do.

I have had the same problem. I've been chasing every possible solution mentioned on different forums but i've not done any of the unnessesary repairs. I've replaced the fuel pump relay and it resolve all problems. A good tip I found was to listen if the fuel pump is working when you turn the key to the second position. It should give a soft, short humm for priming. I found all other suggestion pointing to the immobilizer and antenne ring useless and can't cause this problem. I'm pretty sure getting a new/used fuel pump relay will fix your problem of the car running and then dying a few seconds after.
I sure hope so. I haven't received the parts yet so when I do, I will post results. I already know I am going to return the antenna ring.
Thanks for your advice/opinion.

Here ye, here ye! I didn't receive any parts in the mail today but I did receive my "coder".
Read the instructions (didn't don safety goggles as instructed), went to car, and 7 codes appeared:
P0722
P1633
P0442
P1618
P0238
P0236
P1238
The mystery decoder booklet does not include the codes that begin with P1....
Any input?
Hoping fuel relay fuse arrives tomorrow. ABS going to be rebuilt.
Thanks in advance,
Amy

Dont freak if there are 10 codes stored. Usually there is one thing wrong with your car, and that generates a bunch of codes.
