850 ABS tracs question

Some other aspects to consider regarding unacceptable brake pedal depression.

Worn fulcrum (pivot) between foot pedal and master cylinder.

Power booster faulty.

Air somewhere in brake system.

Deteriorating master cylinder piston seal, allowing small amounts of fluid to get back past the seal.

Worn master cylinder bore - same as above.

Aged brake lines expanding under pressure.
There are only two types of car owners - those who own Volvos and those who wish they did.

One more to add to the list: Old, and possibly contaminated, brake fluid.

I guess this plethora of advice will keep diesel-dodge busy for a while.

I didn't wan't to insult anyone's intelligence by even remotely suggesting a slow leak.

thanks for all of the replys I have one problem Victor doesnt work on 95 and older abs control moduels. any other ideas would be appreciated.

One in the UK who rebuild the unit is http://www.bba-reman.com/.

I think they do pre-95 but seem to be more expensive than Victor. They send you a re-manufactured unit and you return the dud.

Ok Im at the end of my rope. I cant find anyone to rebuild a 94 850 abs module. It says ATE controller on it. What is the difference between my module and the others.

It says ATE controller on it.
I know absolutely nothing about this company but they indicate that they repair the ATE branded modules.
