Hey guys, this is an excellent site. Glad to be a part of it. I just bought a V90 that's been cared for quite well by one owner the whole time, but ran into some trouble in the last few days - had low coolant sign and topped it off, then got gas at a sketchy station, the only one on my backroads way home on a 3-hour trip (I know, shoulda had more fuel) - the engine started misfiring and running horrendously with a flashing, then steady CEL. Took it to the recommended shop in town per the previous owner and they replaced an engine coil. As soon as I took it uphill, the exact symptoms returned. A fair amount of oil was clearly burning. Drove back and they said it was the result of bad gas and it would go away, but it got worse over the three miles I drove it the rest of the day. Took it to a more heartily recommended (by every other Volvo owner in town) shop and they determined the ignition control unit was faulty. He fixed that and it's running great at all speeds and grades, but there is a lingering (very slight compared to before) smell and a very small bit of smoke or steam that's noticeable when I park. Could this just be remnants of the bad drive under bad conditions or does this all sound symptomatic of a larger problem?
Thanks!

Update: Caught it smoking today, there is oil dripipng from the end of the engine block closest to the passenger seat and it's landing on a (presumably hot) piece of metal in the undercarriage. What does this sound like it could be?
One of two things, the oil filler cap gasket is hardened and allowing oil to seep under the volvo cover to the rear of the engine. Or it is a leaking rear exhaust cam seal. My guess is the cam seal.
