help with odometer

my odometer has quit working, but the speedometer still works. anyone got any ideas on whats causing problems?

I just did my odometer gears on the 16th. It was a piece of cake. If you want to correct the mileage, just check the 850 fixes on the site and it tells you how to check it under the hood (remember to do it before you pull the cluster out). If you don't put a lot miles before you do the repair, you may not want to bother. Don't hesitate to try, oh yeah the Jeff Caplan at Odometergears.com sells the gears and you can call him for help.
1995 Volvo 850 GLT wagon, 152,257 miles; work done so far: repaced console gear selector lights and others, flame trap kit, 2 odometer gears (had to turn that little gear 4,000 miles worth to match the ECU mileage and proud of it)

thanks for the replys, was hoping it was a gear or cable coming from the tranny, insted of having to pull the dash!

It is cheaper if it is coming from the dash. Anything to do with the trany is $$$.

'96 854 - died an early death with 184K miles. Killed by the front end of an LTD on a suicide mission (T-boned and both cars totaled).
