Arrow light on and blinking

I have a 2000 S70 GLT SE with about 60K miles. In these cars once you move gears from "D"rive to 3rd, 2nd and on down an arrow lites up on the dask board. In my Volvo it is stuck blinking. I have tried to locate the fuse to disconneted it to no avail, does anyone knows of this problem and has any suggestions.

If you're saying that even in "D"rive it blinks then it could be a bad PnP sensor. If it does it in all gears except "D," then this is the way it's suppose to be. Do you have any trouble starting your car, or otherwise?

If you have a manual there is a portion about your situation that explains a possibility of transmission problems.

Hmm, 5 speed auto, don't usually see this.
Have the tranny serviced, (flushed) get all available software upgrades from the Volvo dealer (there are some) and reset all the adaptations.
Ask about the PNP switch.
