Hi all,
I know it's late but I am desperate. My son drove the S80 to work (about 20 miles) per normal. Turns the car off, again per normal. Eight hours later after a long day of work, turns the key, car cranks but no start. His boss sprayed an ether compound (starter fluid) into the air filter compartment and it started then stopped. I'm assuming after the ether combusted the car stopped. I checked all the fuses in the engine compartment, trunk and cabin-all fuses ok. I'm thinking fuel pump or is there a fuel pump relay I'm not aware of???? Please help if anyone has any idea. Also car has about 216k miles

Well worth the time before you proceed on maintenance issues your unsure about.
