Looking at the frame and the actual molding itself (when it's removed from the door frame) there doesn't seem to be any glue / adhesive involved.
I push it back down in place, but after opening / closing the door a couple of times it always pops back out - the molding is only coming loose in the area indicated in the picture.
As a general question, if you replace this molding, what the heck holds it in place ?
