2003 v40 location of turbo boost sensor
2003 v40 location of turbo boost sensor
This is my first time here. I am just finishing a head replacement job someone else started. I managed to get the valve cover sealed and all the cam seals in properly. No leaks. Timing is set correctly too. My scanner brings up P0236 and P0243 The 236 code is for the turbo boost sensor. Can anybody inform me as to where this sensor is located?

The turbo control valve is fixed against the rear side of the air intake box.
(It has 3 color coded hoses attached which extend down to the turbo.)
The fuse box is immediately behind that.
The turbo sensor is on the top face of the MAF which exits the left side of the air intake box

Thanks difflock 54. I did locate the boost pressure sensor. Mine is at the intercooler and just about in line with the map sensor. Today I swapped the two sensors and a new dct code showed up for the map sensor. I would guess that my boost sensor is bad. I did still have the p0236 low on circuit A with the good sensor from the map. Tomorrow I am going to investigate the hose condition for the turbo control valve. If the hoses are good I am going to tell the customer that I suspect his boost sensor is bad and the turbo control valve is bad as well. I was getting a p0243 code but I did not have the tcv plugged in at that time. Once I plugged in the p0243 code went away.
