The car was running fine, then the alarm or inhibiter switch went off and locked the ingition and I cannont start the car.
How can I fix this? Is it a dealer fix? or woud an OBD2 scanner tool work? How can I figure out what is wrong?
1998 S80 - alarm went off, now car wont start.

Have you tried locking and unlocking the door a couple of times with the key FOB (remote) and see if this reactivates the inhibitor?
