2002 V70: is this stop neutral behavior?
My wife is the daily driver of our base 2002 V70 w/ 5 speed automatic. She has mentioned a couple of times that when she steps on the gas, the engine revs but the car doesn't move. I finally experienced it the other day. Came to a stop for about a minute, foot on brake whole time, then stepped on gas. Engine revved but nothing happened. I lifted off the gas & stepped on the brake. When I stepped on the gas again the car moved forward. Is this typical stop neutral behavior? A very disconcerting experience. Haven't had any other problems with the transmission. Car has 162k miles on it.

Fluid is @ correct level when hot. Fluid was changed @100k miles.
I used to make fun of Volvos. Then, I started a family.

Was the stop/neutral ever removed as it was supposed to be, years ago with updated software?

Emissions
No, only 2001s and some 2002 NON turbos
As most of us know by now, this proved to be a total disaster

I'm planning on doing a fluid change soon, Mobil 3309.
As far as I know there has never been any software upgrades to the car.
The fan speed controller was replaced due to a recall many years ago.
I have noticed a very slight delay after starting up from a stop, but it doesn't do it all the time.
My wife has never mentioned it. I never remember it doing it before.
This was the reason I was going to change the fluid, thought it might have something to do with the slight delay.
