When driving my '98 S70 with 80K miles, the entire dashboard went out (i.e., no working speedometer, no tachometer, no outside thermometer, no gas gauge, etc.). Nothing was working on the dash, but the engine was running fine. Later the same day, after restarting the engine, everything worked fine again. This is the first time I've seen this happen. Any ideas as to what's going on here?
Also, any ideas on how to manually reset the service engine light?
Thanks a million.

The dashboard lights went out on my 98 C70. They would come on with the headlight switch in the park lights position but not the headlights. It was the headlight switch which is on recall, so they replaced it for free.

Well my dashboard lights went out again. They work for a while when the car is started. I hear static from the radio until the dashboard lights go out again.
