Greetings- Is there any special way to install the TPS (throttle position sensor) on the 240 throttle body?
I was just going to Unplug the sensor, remove two bolts and then install the new one. I am not sure of the
hex/screw/bolt size though. We had a Code of 1-3-3 which indicates the TPS per Haines Manual.
The Idle on a Cold start is Missing a lot until warm up. I will use a Multimeter to check the Coolant Temp Sensor and Clean the MAS AIR METER for Starters. I unplugged the TPS sensor harness and sprayed Electrical contact cleaner, disconnected the battery and cleared the code. So far no check Engine light yet.
Thanx Norge777
P.S. The TPS makes it's "Click",, also the diagnostic unit did not clear the 1-3-3 code (?) Disconnected the negative bat cable.
1991 240 Throttle Position Sensor Install.
I've got the S90 and the reset with the Negative Battery post after taking everything off the Throttle inlet and spraying throttle intake cleaner and scotch - brite the inside of the valve and spray again then blow residue out with air then re-installed.
