Ok. I'll contact Xpletive and take over. Thanks very much.

If/when you want to end this arrangement and get your DLT back for good, that's your call. :-) I'll make your account "MVS Contributor" status to reflect your trust and generosity.

I doubt I will ever need it back "for good". I will use the loaner program to use it at some point, though...seeing as I didn't replace the fiance's Delta Links yet

Well, Xpletive already paid me. PM on the way - don't need a more complicated thread.

D'oh! PM received. Just to let everyone know I did understand that you don't own the tool any longer...

I'll offer to buy the tool from Xpletive. The few dollars that accrue (my "profit") I'll set aside for the DLTCO program... repurchase tool if it vanishes, cover shipping snafus etc..

My v70 is finally on the ground after being on the lift for an entire month!

The rear trailing arm bushings/links were a BREEZE with the tool - matthew i'll email you so we can coordinate getting the tool back in circulation.

FYI, this Delta Link Tool program is humming along nicely. The tool is currently in Maryland, in the hands of its third borrower. ETA for availability is one week from today.

Everyone so far has been a good tool caretaker and good at communication, letting me know that they received it, how long they expect to have it, and when they shipped it.

I just used the rental tool to replace the end links - ~3-4 hours total. Could have easily been done in 2.5 if I have to do it again.

1. Jack, jackstands, remove wheel
2. Remove splined bolt (18mm socket, BFH)
3. Remove lower shock nut (18 mm).
4. Remove brake line bolt on delta link (10mm, drivers side only)
5. Remove parking brake screw from end link bracket (T27)
6. Remove End Link bolt (18 mm)
7. Remove 3 End Link bracket bolts (17 mm)
8. Push bracket out of the way (be wary of hard brake line (drivers side) and fuel filter/lines (passenger))
9. Use a prybar to pull the end link off of the chassis
10. Jack under the shock (nut already removed in step 3). Jack up delta link until shock can be pushed off of the stud. Lower the jack back down until the tool can be fit over the end link.
11. Use the tool to remove end link (rather intuitive..)
12. Install new end link with tool (I put the "goalposts" at the black plastic part, not at the far end, when I pressed it in. You will know what I mean when you see it)
13. Reinstall all. Torque values are here --> https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... f=1&t=9402(along with better instructions :))

The tool "available meter" is missing from the QUICK NAV?
