Best Body Shop in Mid TN - BenchMark Collision Nashville

Having been a licensed auto damage appraiser for the last 20+ years and a bit (understatement) of a perfectionist, I have found it almost impossible to find a top quality body shop in mid TN.

For those who do not know, when your car is in an accident, you get to pick what shop does the repair. I own an agency so I get to see a constant stream of cars getting accident damage repaired every year.
I got so tired of low quality work and dishonesty I took it upon myself to find if there were any "Great" shops in mid TN.

When I am looking for a shop to use I want to see:

1. Honesty (what they say is actually what was done)
2. Ability to properly write a fair estimate.
3. Color match
4. No nibs ( little particles) in the paint
5. Clear coat texture and clarity that matches the original.
6. Lifetime guarantee that will actually be honored ( had this problem with another shop)
7. Expertise and care taken when working on the car so as not to damage other pieces during repair.

I found several shops that had none of these attributes.
I found many shops that had 4
A few that had 5

and just 1 that had all 7.

I put some skin in the game and had them repaint some panels of my 07 S60R.

Its absolutely flawless. We did find one little imperfection that was very difficult to see before pickup and Dave Leuhr the manager immediately took it back in and fixed it. No arguments or issues. Dave just said - "I'll make it right" and did he ever !!!

I can be a very difficult person to please because I spent most of my life seeing cars get repaired. Benchmark has surpassed my expectations.

Found out today they sold the facility. I was told that Dave is gone but the painter "Will" remains. I will have to look into it.
