Turn signal lights used to come on when I locked the S60

Post by notny41 »

Turn signal lights used to come on when I locked my car with either the remote or the lock button on my door panel.

They no longer come on when I lock the car either way.

Anyone know why this would be? I'm sure there's some setting somewhere that I have disabled.

Please help - I want my lock acknowledgement lights to return.

Thanks!

Tell your dealer as they are the only people that can reboot it

Are you serious? What happened to make them go away?

OK guys, I got it fixed.

I did some research on the internet and found a volvo site that talked about kits that can be applied to volvos. One mentioned the confirmation lights that blink when you lock the car if all of the doors are closed.

So I went out and opened and closed all of the doors, tried locking the doors again.....nothing.

So I was thinking...what other door-type device do I have on my car. Trunk....nope. Then I got a bright idea: the hood. I opened it up and closed it and viola! I now have my confirmation lights when I lock my doors!!! Yeeeeeha!!!!

Aye it's very common this!

The signals flash on unlocking but not locking.

they don't flash because there's an area that hasn't been secured/monitored.
The bonnet in my experience of everyone who has experienced this the cause. Open it - let it drop from about a foot. Sorted!
