2001 V40 cruise control intermittent fault

Post by mitee1dog »

The Palm Springs dealer will not do a reload on the cruise control saying a 2001 is to old also they are very unhelpful in giving info other than saying the cruise control pump might be bad and it is $600+ to replace it. any help is appreciated. 2001 v40 1.9T cruise control works when it wants to & sometimes shuts off while driving.

I thought from 1999 on, like mine, the cruise is integrated into the Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) ergo there is no cruise control pump.

Do you have an ETS light on your dash? If so, this dealer isn't going to be too useful.
