Possible S60 purchase and upgrades

Post by 89V740TI »

I am trying to gain information on the newer Volvo's. I currently have an 89 740 Turbo, which I love. But is just getting too outdated for me. I am not a huge FWD fan, nothing against them, just not my cup of tea. But I hear good things about the AWD Volvo systems. So basically I am just looking to gain insight on the S60 AWD Turbos. I want the 5 or 6 spd. And just a general idea if anyone has one as too aftermarket upgrades? Hard to find, easy? The 740 I have now is about as hard to find aftermarket things for as anything I have ever come across. I know the newer cars are a little easier. But what are your opinions? Good cars, or something to stay away from?

Any insight would definatly be a huge help.

Thanks alot.

I had a 2002 S60 AWD that I regrettably sold this summer. If you live around snow and ice, get the AWD. They are nice and powerful, my wife loved it. So now I'm looking at an S60R for the AWD and the power. I think we will both be happy.
