2007 s 40 2.4i engine removal instructions

I have just bought my 1 st volvo, it has a bad rattle near #1 cyl. also has shavings of aluminum in oil filter. Im going install a used engine, does anyone have info of doing that. Ive spent time on line and cant find anything. Thanks

Ask VIDA. You can get a VMware image that runs on anything.

Search on Matthews for VM Ware Image.

It will take some time to download and it's over 10GB but this may be quicker than waiting for postage and finally wrestling with the install for hours. The image runs really nicely and has been on my desktop PC for well over a year now.

By the way 2007 S40s will be so much easier to remove the engine from than earlier Volvos. They don't have a massive circular subframe.
