SOME LOCAL SHOPS WILL GUARANTEE REPLACEMENT UNDER THEIR WARRANTY. YOU MAY HAVE TO PAY FOR LABOR AGAIN, BUT THAT'S ALL.

Check the small print on the "warranty" as no business can afford to replace any unit that is known to have a limited life span. The longest warranty for suspension parts I have ever seen is 12 months/12000 miles and that is a manufacturer's warranty, which still has several escape clauses for them.
