Hi there again,
I've just bought recently spare whole turbo-unit ( will be renewed), which was mounted on 850T-5 1996 from a friend, and as he said it should fit just right and should be completely identical to mine. As i have made some research over internet it really should be the same.
But now i came across this link where is written that me7's turbos are completelly different in terms of dimensions - please see http://www.wothrline.com/Cars_engine/HW ... harger.htm
where you can see pictured on 18T from T-5R and 18T from me7 - bigger than from t5-r.
Which normally, puted me in doubts if i have the right/correct spare one.
So, i just want to get your "approval" that the turbine i have - see pictures attached to topic is really correct and is the same as current (original on C70 T-5 me7 2001 ) before i start with renewal of the turbo. I havent seen mine of the car yet so i have no idea if it's any different to this one i bought.
Kind regards again for help and wish you all the best,
Jure

Take the turbo to your dealer. They can look up the part and do a reverse look-up to see what it fits.

If that's a 16T with the straight flange exhaust housing, (looks like it is, especially if it was on an 850) all you need to do is install the angled flange exhaust housing from your 01's original turbo by disconnecting the v-band clamp in the center.
Short: Yes, it will work fine. Direct swap, as long as the larger, angled exhaust housing is fitted.

Yes, they are both 16T, the housing will be swapped aswell with mine which is currently "in use" with current turbo mounted.
So this is a go then, i just wanted to be sure that it is 100% correct and identical, before i make myself some more expensive costs with renewing the turbo. I dont want ( like most of you i guess) to come to renew this spare turbo, and then notice that turbos are not the same when swapping them on car
Thank you and wish you all the best!
