Does anyone know of any aftermarket upgraded options that are stronger?
I ask because I just had my front passenger replaced last January on my '06 S40 T5 AWD, and it is back again!?!?
It started softly before the holidays, but I took it into the dealer for some other routine maintenance, not the same place that did the repair work on it last year, and they confirmed it- and I can definitely tell it's the same annoying noise as it was previously!
Do I have any recourse for the previous shop fixing it for free? I'm not holding my breath, but you'd think something like this wouldn't need another repair in like just 12 months! ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
Upgraded wheel bearing? What are my options?

I find most bearings today provide poor durability and many are under greased in my opinion.
Pay the money and use a INA-FAG bearing (Schaeffler Group). You can but these from FCP.
Unless you have something in writing that holds a shop to a warranty you are handling this repair as a standard repair. They bought the part and put it in. At that point they are done.
Some garages get free replacements if the parts ever fail and may only charge you labor.
The norm would be that they owe you nothing unless they gave you a warranty on parts or labor.
Check your paperwork carefully. A FAG bearing should cost aprox $150 for the part. Labor costs vary on hourly rates. FCPeuro has the FAG bearing for your car or you garage can also buy it through Worldpac if they are still offering them.
