1998 V70 Key Stuck ..shift lock stuck MVSuccess!

Key Stuck in Ignition...won't respond to the usual methods to free it.
Symptoms:
Won't come out of winter mode on console
Yellow arrow on dash light stays lit

This all happened after it was dropped off from a tow due to the fuel pump failure.

If the car was towed, it's possible that the wrecker operator
used the shift lock override button to get it out of park.
If that button doesn't pop all the way back up, the key
will not be released from the ignition switch.

But the thing about lights staying on sounds funky.
Are you describing one problem or two?
Can you turn the key all the way off, just not get it out?
Or do those lights always stay on no matter what?

OK...after I got the fuel pump in and car running everything went back to normal. I pulled the shift lock up with needle nose pliers and the key released...thanks!
