JY report. Parts Galore, Flat Rock MI

I went there yesterday.

They had five 99-2000 v70's, two 850's, two s70's and one v90. Most had been in wrecks, most are picked over fairly well. All of them had complete engines and trannies in them. A couple of the wagons had destroyed interiors from rejects now knowing how to pull parts like a normal person.

Somebody destroyed the entire dashboard of an s70 with Dolby just to take the evaporator of all things.

Went again today.

They had a mostly untouched white 96 850 with a blue cloth interior and 3rd row seat. I snagged the cup holder as it was mint.

Also had this mostly untouched green? 98 wagon, typical beige interior non turbo, no sunroof but had a 3rd row seat. I snagged the rear armrest from it.

This blue 99 non-turbo. It's not terribly picked over, had a white label etm.

This s90. Wasn't really touched.

This white s70, non turbo. Somebody destroyed the interior, intake manifold was missing but not much else mechanically.

There was also a 98 s70 in the back that has been there forever, there's nothing left on it.

Looks like they've had some decent turnover in the import section but they had a handful of cars just laying on the ground, unless somebody knocked them over. The domestic truck section was picked clean, I only needed one part out of there and couldn't get it.

What is the address of this place? I am from Monroe and have been going to Taylor auto salvage and the place next to it. I looked up parts galore on Google but the address didn't seem right.

I found it... Its just north of the speedway. They had a decent amount of older volvos, but I was looking for a S80 and didn't see any. Its too cold out to pull any parts right now anyways lol

There's a cat that lives right next door to Taylor Auto Salvage. He has a boatload of Volvos, Saabs and Audis on his property.

Now....you may be inclined to ask him about his collection of cars. Don't do it, as a matter of fact ask the guys at the salvage yard about him. I did and they told me that he's nuts. Since I work with mentally ill people for a living I figured I wouldn't have any problem with him. I was wrong, we got out of there pretty quick.

Yep I have seen the volvos next door... Never met the guy but I have heard similar.

No. He really is crazy. The Hispanic guy at Taylor told us not to try talking to him (because he is crazy, his words) but since I'm smarter than everybody else I approached him anyway. He was picking clover piece by piece out of the cracks on his driveway and grunted something when I asked him about the cars. I don't know exactly what was grunted but it wasn't friendly at all.

I did snap a pic of him as we drove off. Luckily he didn't see me do that. I'll have to dig that up.

Hey Matt. I didn't see this thread until today.
The '98 S70 is where I got the N/A manifold for my 3" upgrade. Also the throttle body from that S90. I might stop out again this weekend.
I will let you know what's new.
