2001/8 Volvo S80. New Owner

Hello forum members, I have just moved to Budapest Hungary and I am in the process of buying a very well maintained 2001/8 Volvo S80 Auto. I would like to ask a couple of questions and advice. Firstly, I am wondering if I as to purchase a late model S80 gps system would I be able to plug and play the newer unit into my older model? As I believe that the wiring for models even without gps is all still there.
Secondly I would like to purchase owners manuals etc for it and wonder if someone can advise me of which exact manuals came with that year and month model?
I appreciate any help/advice in advance.

I can't help you with the first question. Just got a 2001 s80 about a week ago, but it didn't come with gps. I was either going to set up an iphone holder so I can use maps or figure out a way to hook up my tomtom.

The owners manual that came with my s80 has the reference # tp4586, here is the online version:

I'll take a look tomorrow and see what other manuals came with the car.
