I have a difficulty in taking fresh air hose, I believe is what it is called (Attached picture here), off of top of air cleaner. I have loosed the clamp and I can twist it around freely but I can not take it off. How do I go about taking it off? I need to take it off to get access to gear position sensor underneath.
Thanks
Jesse

It pulls off but it can be stubborn. If it is cold where you are working it can help to use a hair drier to heat the joint up and make the plastic a bit more pliable. Try to keep the heat away from the MAF sensor.

I'll try that trick, thank you and also, is it absolute that I use volvo antifreeze or I can use any other brands. Specific type of antifreeze that is because there is no coolant in it. I'll flush with water to completely drain any that is left.
I'd second Lee's answer about heating the hoses - I had one I just could not get off at all and yet after a longish drive it came off without the slightest problem!
I've used both genuine Volvo and decent non-Volvo glycol based coolants with no issues.

My choice on coolant is Zerex G05. It has the same primary specifications (Phosphate Free / HOAT) as the Volvo coolant but it is easier to find. Most of the Advance / O'Reilly etc stores don't stock it but NAPA usually does.
Coolant questions usually spark a huge debate like the oil threads but that my 2 pennies.

Thank you every one. Lee, hair dryer trick worked. Yay!
Volvo is my second european car and is more complex than Audi A6... Maybe because its a turbo but wow!

Actually Jasper, the 850 is an extremely simple car. I've worked on alot of cars, and to me this car is a total breeze to wrench on compared to what else is out there. I even OWNED a Jetta 2.0 which was a terrible case in German engineering. But to me the Swedes hit the nail on the head with the 850 turbo. Arguably one of the best family sedans ever created.
