I stumbled upon Volvo's XC60 concept page. It's depressing to hear Volvo publicly announce their move away from boxy designs.
However, some of the design elements in the XC60 are really interesting: holes in the seats and extra trunk glass for rear visibility, flat panel illuminated center console, full glass roof.
If a new car styling makes you cringe in disgust, then they're doing something right; innovating and defining a new era of automotive design. Like the Ford Taurus, the first smooth body in a sea of big boxy sedans.
Too bad the XC60 has that annoying S/V40 style compartment behind the center console which you can't see or easily access. And too bad it is saddly Toyota Matrix / Dodge Caliber / Pontiac Vibe small. Big wagons forever!

I like the approach on the interior, looks promising. I'm not so sure about the holes in the seats
, but the rest looks nice.
Although all the white will get dirty easy.
I always liked the 'boxy' style of volvos, so I'm somewhat sad that the new volvos are rather round. I don't like round cars!
